AIRPRO'S NEW WORKWEAR COLLECTION

1.11.2023

Touchpoint designed and produced a new workwear collection for its long-standing partner. The collection was designed for Airpro employees in customer service roles at airports in Finland. At first the new workwear will be worn by security screeners, supervisors, and trainers at Helsinki Airport since the summer of 2023.

The workwear design project was made user-friendly through good cooperation. Workwear collection projects can take few years to complete but there are lots of steps to be made in order to have the best possible outcome. Collection uses high-quality materials and classic, timeless details to maximize the life of the products.

With Airpro new workwear collection an important trial run of the workwear was organized. This way it was possible to take into account the ideas and opinions of the end users.

It is important that workwear projects involve end-users at an early stage. Test runs of new workwear usually provide important insights into the daily challenges and opportunities of the users. Touchpoint workwear surveys can also include, for example, a short mood survey about the working day, giving our customers more important information from the field."

TRENDSCOME AND GO, CLASSIC SOLUTIONS ARE HERE TO STAY

The most importantfeature of the new workwear collection is its timelessness. The simply elegantcollection is perfectly suited to the international environment of our airports. The new collection has been designed by consulting the Airpro people who are to use it.

SUSTAINABILITY AS A BASE

We have a priviledge to be part of the latest innovations of the textile circular economy by recycling our worn-out uniforms. We recycle end-of-life clothing and some of the clothes used in ramp units into a new textile fibre at Rester. Rester is the the first plant in Northern Europe to turn end-of-life textiles into a new fibre on a large scale. Other elements of sustainability include high-quality materials, well-fitting workwear, maintenance and washing of workwear.

Airpro's workwear project also focused on finding the right size for the garments, as the right size gives the garment more years of use. To help the end user to choose the right size, we used guides with fit pictures, the workwear online shop's size selection tool and the skilled professionals at Airpro clothing department.
